Poéticas Indígenas é reunir índios, escritores indígenas e de outras origens,
clássicos e contemporâneos, cuja obra tenha inspiração indígena de alguma região
do Brasil. Poéticas, pois aqui não cabe apenas uma única poética, a ocidental ou
<SPAN class=SpellE>aristóteleana</SPAN>, mas sua diversidade que vive nos
cânticos, na história oral, no ritual indígena, tendo em comum a inventividade e
o encantamento com a palavra e suas possibilidades. Essa reunião de poetas e
poéticas pretende dar projeção e ânimo a este ainda singelo movimento
intercultural e literário que é o da literatura indígena.

grande adaptabilidade frente às adversidades, capacidade de união em prol de
seus direitos e resistência cultural. Hoje, com parte de suas terras
reconquistadas, fala-se de uma <SPAN class=SpellE>ressurgência</SPAN> Pataxó, na
qual índios idosos e jovens buscam resgatar sua cultura ancestral e reviver sua

Os Mura são índios do Amazonas. Contatados nos Século XVIII por uma missão

colonial do Grão Pará, os Mura registram longa convivência com a sociedade
nacional, história marcada pela escravidão no período colonial e o trabalho
semi-escravo para os patrões que monopolizavam o extrativismo da
castanha-do-pará na área indígena. Em <st1:metricconverter w:st="on"

suas terras. O povo Mura vive hoje em fraternidade, na margem do Rio Madeira, em

Jesuíticas do Século XVII, reduções cristãs criadas nas fronteiras do Brasil com
a Argentina e Paraguai, deram margem <SPAN class=GramE>à</SPAN> uma troca
cultural inusitada, pois a arte e a música eram ali altamente valorizadas. Após
a destruição das missões, muitos índios foram trazidos para São Paulo como
escravos, influindo na cultura mestiça. No início do Século XIX, <SPAN
class=GramE>famílias Guarani</SPAN> começaram a voltar para São Paulo e hoje há
três comunidades estabelecidas com cerca de 800 índios vivendo nelas. O Guarani
é a língua indígena mais falada no Brasil, com 50 mil falantes. Há <SPAN
class=GramE>4</SPAN> dialetos: <SPAN class=SpellE>kaiowá</SPAN>, <SPAN
