que já se faz sentir, e que - tudo leva a crer - se aprofundará sobre nossa
economia, nossa sociedade e em especial sobre o povo

oportunidade para manifestar nossas propostas concretas que o Governo Federal
deve tomar para preservar, sobretudo, os interesses do povo, e não apenas das

ir construindo um novo modelo de desenvolvimento nacional, baseado em outros
parâmetros, sobretudo na distribuição de renda, na geração de emprego e no
fortalecimento do mercado interno.</SPAN></FONT></SPAN> </STRONG></P>

aproveitar para que nessa mudança se logrem medidas concretas que visem
melhorar as condições de vida de nosso povo, garantindo os direitos à educação
pública, gratuita, democrática e de qualidade em <SPAN class=GramE>todos</SPAN>
níveis, à moradia digna, ao acesso à cultura e às reformas urbana e agrária.

povo não tem acesso a esses direitos básicos. Sabemos que poderosos
interesses dos capitalistas locais, das empresas transnacionais e,
sobretudo do sistema financeiro, concentra cada vez mais riqueza, renda, e
impedem que nosso povo usufrua da riqueza por ele produzida.

dominação capitalista, e agora assistimos às crises financeiras e à ofensiva dos
interesses do império que controla as riquezas naturais, minerais, a água,
as sementes, o petróleo, a energia e o resultado de nosso trabalho.

mais rápido possível do BANCO DO SUL, como um agente que promova o
desenvolvimento regional e que auxilie o crescimento do mercado interno entre os
paises da América Latina e como um mecanismo de controle de nossas reservas,
para impedir a especulação dos bancos, do FMI, e dos interesses do capital
dos Estados Unidos.</SPAN> </STRONG></P>

financeira é de responsabilidade dos países centrais e dos organismos dirigidos
por eles, como a OMC, o Banco Mundial e o FMI. Defendemos uma nova ordem

internacional solidário para reconstrução econômica e social daquele país.
Apresentamos também nossa oposição à reativação da Quarta Frota da Marinha de
Guerra dos Estados Unidos em águas da América Latina. </STRONG></P>

governo brasileiro precisa cancelar imediatamente o novo leilão do petróleo,

manutenção do superávit primário, que é uma velha e desgastada orientação
do FMI - um dos responsáveis pela crise econômica internacional. E devemos
usar os recursos do superávit primário para fazer volumosos investimentos
governamentais, na construção de transporte publico e de moradias populares para
a baixa renda, dando assim uma grande valorização à reforma urbana e agrária,
incentivando a produção de alimentos pela agricultura familiar e
camponesa. É preciso investimentos maciços, na construção de escolas,
contratação de <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns =
"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:PersonName
w:st="on">professor</st1:PersonName>es para universalizar o acesso à educação de
nossos jovens, em todos os níveis, em escolas públicas, gratuitas e de

as empresas transnacionais que controlam o comércio agrícola estão penalizando
os agricultores, reduzindo em 30%, em média os preços pagos do leite, do milho,
dos suínos e das aves. Mas, no supermercado, o preço continua

sociedade, é preciso ampliar o controle da população sobre as concessões de

condições para o funcionamento das rádios comunitárias, acabando com a repressão
sobre elas. Por tudo isso, é urgente que o governo federal convoque a

todo o país. Chamamos especial atenção, nesse momento, para a urgência de
